The Burg

The Burg

14 Episodes

Welcome to mid-2000s hipster Brooklyn. Created before the world had seen the iPhone, Twitter or anything on YouTube longer than a minute, The Burg became America’s first breakout mid form show - and helped inspire an entire movement of indie mid form shows and hipster comedy. Take a nostalgic trip through a time of George W. Bush, myspace, and trucker hats, and rediscover the show that was a show before making shows was cool.

The Burg Season 2 is going to be the first of its kind: a period piece set for a decade young Americans are going to soon be very nostalgic for, the 2000s. Recasting the original characters with a fresh new cast, The Burg is going to be That 70s Show, Freaks & Geeks or Stranger Things for the trucker hat, indie rock, ironic era that Gen Z never were around for, but already miss and fetishize. Four young hipsters (and their decidedly unhipster new roommate) navigate a world that’s just pre-iPhone, pre-Facebook and pre-everything-going-to-shit.
